Conservation of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity

The Rock of Ages Campaign was offically launched at the Cathedral on Thursday 16 November 2006.

The Cathedral needs to raise £850,000 to replace its roof, build an enhanced entrance onto the Cathedral Square to improve access for both churchgoers and tourists and to fund a number of other necessary conservation and restoration measures.

Today the Cathedral needs your help. If we do not carry out vital conservation and restoration work soon, the building will cease to be safe either for daily worship or for concerts, plays and other public events. More than this, a vital part of Gilbraltar's heritage will be lost.

The congregation and Diocese have dug deep into their pockets once more, and have raised a substantial sum towards the work needed.

But we need your help if we are to achieve our £850,000 target.
